Summary of the article: In conclusion, use of ADHD medication is associated with a reduction of unintentional injuries in children and adolescents in the United States. This seems to be true in boys and girls of different age and for injury events of different severity. These results highlight how the use of ADHD medication may be associated with beneficial effects that go beyond reducing core symptoms of ADHD and extend to the prevention of health-adverse events, such as physical injuries, including TBI.
