A single 90-to-100 minute evaluation with a double board-certified psychiatrist — diagnosis and a treatment plan in one sitting, not a referral to somebody else. New patients are usually seen within one to two weeks.
What happens next
A short form — your name, how to reach you, which state you live in, and a sentence on what you would like help with. Nothing clinical is required at this stage.
You will hear back with appointment times, what to expect, and anything worth bringing along. If this practice is not the right fit, you will be told that plainly rather than booked in anyway.
A full psychiatric evaluation by video with Dr. Sachs himself, start to finish. You leave with a diagnosis, a plan, and answers to the questions you came with.
Patients aged 6 and over who are physically located in Virginia or North Carolina at the time of the appointment. That is a licensing requirement, not a preference.
